Meet the doctors.

Dr. Baba was born and raised in Medicine Hat where he graduated from McCoy High School. During his high school years, he worked in the automotive, oil, construction and trucking industries. In addition, Chris served in the Army Reserves for over 5 years and was chosen to represent his Regiment in Europe for the 60th anniversary of the Liberation of Holland. 

Chris began his studies at Medicine Hat College then entered the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta where he earned his Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees. Throughout dental school, Chris also served as president of his class. Upon graduation, Chris was presented with awards for Oral Surgery, Fixed Prosthetics and Operative Dentistry. Dr. Baba values being a part of a team committed to delivering compassionate and comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages. His broad scope of practice includes sedation, pediatric dentistry, surgery, implants, and general dentistry. Dr. Baba has been practicing dentistry for over 17 years.

Chris enjoys cooking, marksmanship, trap shooting, hiking and exploring the outdoors. Beyond his work in dentistry, Chris is actively involved in and dedicated to his community. He served on the YMCA board for 10 years, including 6 years as president. Since 2012, he has been an active member of the Kinsmen Club of Medicine Hat. Since 2020, he has served as president of the Medicine Hat Dental Society and is also a council member of the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta. In recognition of his dedication to community service, he was awarded King Charles III’s Coronation Medal in 2025. Community service has always been a meaningful part of his life, and Medicine Hat has always been the place he proudly calls home.
 

Dr. Van Dam was born and raised in our very own Medicine Hat. Scott graduated from Medicine Hat High School prior to attending Medicine Hat College. After 2 years of study, he then entered the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Alberta where he acquired both Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees in 2002. During his time at the University of Alberta, he enjoyed mountain biking, skiing and his VW camper van. Dr. Van Dam has been practicing dentistry for over 24 years in Medicine Hat.

Scott’s passion for dentistry has led him to develop a very diverse practice that includes sedation care. Scott particularly enjoys pediatric dentistry, surgical procedures, cosmetic dentistry, restorative and preventative dentistry as well as dental implants. Seeing as Scott is exceptionally enthusiastic about learning a variation of new techniques, materials and procedures, he frequently attends continuing education courses and seminars.

Outside of the office, Scott enjoys making the most of his time with the people who matter most to him — his wife and children. Family is at the center of his life, and he values creating lasting memories with those closest to him. He also enjoys the outdoors, whether that is skiing, hiking or gardening, as well as cooking. He also takes pride in hands-on home repairs. Dr. Van Dam feels incredibly fortunate to be able to build his career in such a compassionate office environment. He appreciates being part of a team that is dedicated to providing meaningful care to patients of all ages, in a city that means so much to him. 
 

Dr. Dustin Fedosa has been providing patient-centred dental care for over 6 years. Born and raised in Medicine Hat, he is proud to serve his hometown and build lasting relationships with patients and families in the community. He attended Crescent Heights High School and Medicine Hat College before continuing his education at the University of Calgary and the University of Alberta. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Melbourne and is registered with the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta. He is also a member of the Alberta Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association. 

Dr. Fedosa offers a broad range of dental services, including preventive and restorative dentistry, Invisalign, and sedation dentistry. He takes a conservative, personalized approach to care and welcomes patients of all ages. He takes the time to answer patient questions, and explain treatment options clearly, so you can feel informed and involved in the decision making.

Outside the clinic, Dustin enjoys an active lifestyle that includes hiking, going to the gym, playing a variety of sports and enjoying quality time with friends and family. He is also committed to giving back to his community and has served as a director on the YMCA board for the past 5 years. Dr. Fedosa feels very fortunate to be practicing alongside an amazing team while serving the community that has played such an important role in his life.
